A crazy long title, a quirky mix of Shakespeare’s best.. and of course a girl at the top of a balcony. This show is a charming assortment of romance and highly amusing antics! Escorted through the beautiful gardens of Pear Ridge, Margate, audiences were entertained by the best of Shakespeare’s most romantic, witty and well loved shows, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, and of course, Romeo & Juliet.

Praise for A Midsummer’s Much Ado about a Girl at the Top of a Balcony:

“..a breezy, broad-brush walk through some of Shakespeare’s most popular romantic comedies. Chris Hamley and cast have made clever use of the theatre friendly venue.. the formal garden ‘rooms’ well suit the mobile staging and easily connect with Shakespeare’s comedic imagery of forests, screens and shady bowers. The four hard-working actors all have their moments.. Simone Dobber’s haughty Julia, Melissa Cuthbertson’s wily nurse, Alex Donnelly’s Twelfth Night and Chris Hamley’s confident Benedict.”  Michael McLaughlin, The Mercury

“Really enjoyed the show today. Excellent venue, well organised and a creative performance.”

“Shakespeare would be proud! Huge well done to you, Kath and the team. What a creative concept and such a treat with a very, very talented bunch. It was such a treat.”

“Congratulations team! We really enjoyed the show - so much fun!!”

“This was such a great afternoon - well done to the whole team. We await the next production!”

“It was fabulous - and such a great venue.”
